Meet Our Team
Dr. Jason Pearson
Co-Founder
Jason has been a professor of chemistry at the University of Prince Edward Island since 2009, where he coordinates and teaches in the general chemistry program. He holds a PhD in theoretical chemistry from Dalhousie University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. He has won numerous teaching awards, including the 2016 Brightspace Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning, the Janet Pottie Murray Award for Educational Leadership, and the Hessian Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Trevor Profitt
Co-Founder
Trevor has 10+ years of experience in software development and an honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Prince Edward Island. He has always enjoyed sharing knowledge and this is what drew him to education technology. In his free time, you'll find him playing video games, one of his many instruments, or in the sky flying an airplane.
Mitch George
COO
Mitch is an experienced start up operations leader with a track record of bringing people, processes, and data together to improve business performance. When not behind the monitor, Mitch loves being active with his partner and their dog Phoebe and spending time with friends and family.
Libby Edwards
Sales Development Representative
Libby Edwards is a researcher and writer with a Master's degree in Adult Education and Community Development from the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience in Indigenous economic development, urban agriculture, and social economy studies. Libby has worked at multiple academic institutions conducting qualitative research, grant writing, and managing programs. More recently, she has managed farming initiatives and community programs focused on food justice in Toronto and the GTA.
Andrew Reid
VP IT Operations
For over 10 years Andrew has been working with small businesses, large enterprises, and government agencies to develop software solutions. He thrives collaborating with our team to refine our platform’s reliability, scalability and security. When not working, he loves spending time with his family, playing guitar, or getting outside.
Nolan Phillips
VP Engineering
Nolan brings a decade of experience in building and managing software projects to the team. His focus on continuous learning spans from technical skills to product design and company culture.
Lucja Anchikoski
Software Engineer
Lucja Anchikoski is a Software Engineer at our company, dedicated to building and maintaining virtual chemistry simulations that help students learn through experience. In her free time, she loves exploring all kinds of creativity through visual arts, writing, and music.
Scott Byrne
UX Engineer
Scott's an experienced designer who loves to work directly with code. He enjoys breaking down complex problems into simple and effective solutions. Outside of work, he plays a lot of Disc Golf, makes music and tinkers with his latest side project.
Paul Seward
Software Engineer
Paul Seward is a Software Engineer at our company and former teacher with experience in several education systems. Currently, he is a graduate student at the University of Prince Edward Island studying Machine Learning. In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family and fixing up their century-old farmhouse.
Isabelle Upton
Revenue Operations Coordinator
Isabelle brings a unique blend of scientific curiosity and operational expertise to her role at Stemble. After earning her degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Waterloo and gaining experience as an executive assistant, she now helps drive efficiency across Stemble's operations. She’s passionate about supporting the team and making online education more accessible and impactful.
Greg Bannard
Senior Instructional Designer
Greg Bannard is an Instructional Designer at Stemble Learning Inc., where she creates clear, accessible, and engaging chemistry learning experiences for students and instructors. With an interdisciplinary background in materials chemistry, safety education, and science communication, she specializes in translating complex concepts into intuitive and problem solving-based activities across a wide range of courses. Greg also contributes to national chemistry education initiatives, including the design of interactive, gamified learning experiences for the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition (CSC). Her instructional approach centres on guided problem solving - encouraging learners to explore, experiment, and build understanding through meaningful challenges. She is continually expanding her skills, both professionally and through hands-on hobbies, and is always looking toward the next challenge to solve.
Michael Huggett
Security & Compliance Lead
Michael Huggett, MBA, CISSP, PMP, is Security and Compliance Lead at Stemble. He brings three decades of experience in business analysis, project management, and technology delivery to Stemble's security governance and compliance work, with a focus on practical controls and clear communication across technical and business teams. Outside work, he enjoys time with his family, the outdoors, and a pack of Aussiedoodles.
Noah Striker
Instructional Designer
Based in Stratford, PEI, Noah holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology and is currently completing a Master of Education in Open, Digital, and Distance Education, specializing in instructional design through a thesis-based pathway. His work focuses on how people learn, drawing on educational psychology and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning to create meaningful, research-informed learning experiences. He has presented at numerous SoTL conferences and contributes to international teaching and learning communities, including ISSOTL, STLHE, and OLC. Outside of work and study, Noah enjoys cooking, exploring nature, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
Louie Tang
Junior Software Developer
Louie Tang is a Junior Software Developer at Stemble. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia and has been building full-stack applications over the years, bringing that experience to Stemble's platform. Outside of work, Louie enjoys learning new things, spending time with friends and family, and playing ultimate frisbee.
Tanya Irani
Instructional Designer
Based in Timmins, ON, Tanya holds a Master of Science in Biology. With over a decade of teaching experience, including several years in post-secondary education, she brings a strong understanding of how people learn. Her work focuses on creating engaging and accessible learning experiences that make complex ideas easier to understand and apply. She is especially interested in the intersection of learning science, technology, and instructional design, and how thoughtful design can improve the learner experience. Outside of work, Tanya enjoys running, baking, travelling, and spending time with her friends, family and her dog.
Nimrat Obhi
Junior Instructional Designer
Nimrat is a Junior Instructional Designer working to support educators in the design and deployment of their curricular materials using Stemble. They bring their interdisciplinary background and years of experience in chemistry research, education, biomedical sciences, and social justice to their role. Before joining Stemble, Nimrat was a Program Manager with Beyond Benign, where they supported university and college educators in the implementation of green chemistry pedagogy through curriculum design, professional development opportunities, and community building and engagement. They completed a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Toronto in 2020. Nim currently lives in Ottawa, where outside of work they are an avid skier, volunteer medic, cook, hiker, swimmer, and fountain pen collector.
James O’Halloran
Senior Platform Developer
James is a Software Engineer with over 15 years of experience building across web games, developer tooling, and educational technology. He loves creating joyful, highly interactive products that spark a smile. Outside of work, James is usually found chasing around his two kids, launching indie web games, or watching his favourite sports teams lose.
Ellie Arnold
Marketing and Community Lead
Ellie brings a background in chemistry, education, and community-building to her role at Stemble. She holds a PhD in Chemistry and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto and has spent much of her career working with researchers, students, and partners across academia and industry. At Stemble, she focuses on sharing the stories behind the platform, building connections with educators, and growing a community around better STEM teaching. When she's not at work, Ellie can usually be found outside with her two boys, her dog, and a healthy amount of chaos.
